MessageOur beloved Booker was recently diagnosed w/ myeloma. We are still doing some testing but we are hopeful we have caught it in time and that we can arrest the disease and force it into remission. God takes special care of animals, I do believe this. With their pure, instinctive souls, He can connect with them on levels that humans can't. I pray for healing for all of God's creatures.

MessagePlease pray for my dog, shasta, shasta masta, after a long weekend at the emergency room, we have been told today that she has a mass on her kidney. This resembling my mothers very recent death with the same blood counts high and low....it also resembles the not so recent death of my father, cancer.
I love my dog, so much. Christmas time is supposed to be about miracles, and it looks to me as though we will need one.
She is 10 years old. I should have known something was wrong! I just thought she was getting lazy, and old. I am SO sad. I dont know how come God has put so much on my plate, but I hope he has a spot for my girl, should she have to go. Please pray that we will knnow the right time to let go.

Type of Cancerbiopsy report not back
MessageWe just picked Roxie up after surgery and the Dr. removed as much of her tumor from her mouth as he could and still have tissue enough to close the wound. It was so advanced that it had gone into her sinus cavity. Three months ago we had the tumor removed but the vet we took Roxie to in Corry PA told us nothing about the tumor and said he "didn't send the tissue away because nobody ever wants to do further treatment." By then it was too late for us to find out anything more after the first surgery. Well, her face started swelling again last week and we took her to a different vet who got her right in for surgery but now the growth is pretty far advanced and we are waiting to see if anything more can be done however, given how large the tumor is, the vet isn't optimistic. Roxie hasn't had a sick day in her twelve years so we have been lucky but feel betrayed by in uncaring Vet who never gave us a chance to make a decision about her care. Maybe the tumor would have been too advanced even then to do anything but maybe it could have been treated. The vet who didn't give a darn should have known we would have done all we could for her because we took care of our diabetic dog, Pepper, for two years before he finally died. Pray that what ever we do for Roxie is the right thing for her and that the vet from Corry PA never does this to another family again.

Messageour Buddy almost lost his life 3 years ago after an infection left dead flesh on his leg and he chewed the flesh off-we have a wonderful vet-the skin healed but no hide would grow back-now that area has cancer and the vet says amputation is all that will work-he is 11 and the sweetest most gentle animal in the world-he looks like a dalmation, white with black spots, but the shape and disposition of a boxer, gentle and big and a baby at heart-what should i do? how can i tell the vet to take off his leg when it may come back in 6 months? we just lost my sons 10 year old tuxedo cat and he is grieving so..

MessageI hesitate to write this, as we haven't gotten the final diagnosis yet, but my vet is pretty sure, early stages. Tikki presented with a limp that will not go away. She just turned 5. She is my angel dog. I'm being present with her, knowing our companions don't look at life they way we do. They live in the moment and I'm working on learning that through Tikki. But, I'm sad as I'm sure you all understand.
