MessageHi from a relatively brand-new Monkees fan! I wanna say, big thanks for your AWESOME site! I could only dream to find so much info & pics! ....I must admit that it was a bit shocking to read about Pete's crazy parties and all that drugs/free love stuff (same like about Beatles) but then, it was sixties, that's the way it was back then, so I just must come to therms with it all and not be so naive & square. They are still cool and I love their songs! Keep up good work on updating the site, all this stuff is super interesting! Cheers from Ukraine

MessageHi,what a brilliant site.Great pictures and loads to look at.Even though my fave group is a little known group called the beatles,I'm still a massive big fan of the monkees,I would even say they are my absolute second fave band.I love them almost as much as I love the beatles. My fave monkees song is The Girl I Knew Somewhere.
I would really love to hear from older monkees fans from anywhere in the world(45+).Also monkeess fan clubs as well.Thanks.

MessageHey, Meg!

It shocks me every year how long your site's been around, but hitting the ten year mark is...crazy. I think the only sites that have you beat are the ones that haven't been updated since 2001. haha

I can't wait to read your review of Monkees Race Again. That truly is the worst twenty minutes of television I've ever watched. Good Lord. I'm interested to see what you have to say. haha

MessageI just re-read the section about the old Monkees sites and I want to cry now. Oh how I miss those days and my own humble Monkees site (with the custom made graphic woolhats) haha...

MessageIncredible achievements on the charts, but unfortunately they didn't write any of their hits. So, it is really silly that Davey is trying to say he can sing better than Sir Paul, who by the way, can still hit all the high notes and is a MUCH better musician and performer than glamour boy Davey will EVER be. He can actuall play and write, Dave is just another Celine Dion...no writing or playing talent.

Cheers

Messagesmilie Sweet! What a fun collection!
I am from the first generation of Monkee fans. Your fashion commentary is hilarious (yeah, I wore those styles). When Micky showed up second season with the fro it caused quite a buzz in my jr. high circle.
The weekly Monkees show gave our parents something to withhold as punishment (in the pre-VHS stone age). Come to think of it, if I had had the opportunity to watch Micky whenever I wanted, I'd still be in Jr. High!
Our monthly trek to buy Monkee Spec was a sacred ritual. I made my parents take me to Zilch in Greenwich Village because Micky stood on the same floor. I made lifelong friends via our Monkees bond - we've continued our mania at various reunion tours. Thanks to your dedication to keeping this AWESOME site and thanks to the Monkees for adding fun to my life.
