Message | I testified during the trial yesterday on the last 6 years with Karen. I was only present during my testimony since I was sitting with my cousin's baby. Here is my condensed version: Main question was who Karen would pick to have as a guardian. I feel that Karen would choose her Mother, she has resided in Florida for the last 6 years depending on her mother for most things. Her mom takes her to the grocery store, nail salon, get her hair fixed, gym, family functions, to sign up for Social Security and so on. It was great when she did get her first check, such a big deal. She loved the Sunday after church get togethers. The aunts (Karen's mom, Aunt Mary) would fix breakfast for everyone that gathered together. It was the fun place to be, we all enjoyed going there. (her home is always open to everyone.) I told the story about Karen wiggling in bed as she danced to the music that the little stuffed animal made that Aunt Mary gave to Karen in March. I also mentioned my visit in June and how she moved her hands to praise the lord and also her feet. She would hold your hand and squeeze it when it was time to leave holding on, wanting the visit not to end. Ray banned the family visits after that. Ray's lawyer asked me if I felt I was closer to Karen than her own kids, my answer was that in the last 6 years I saw a lot more of Karen than they did. |
