MessageYou know, I started with Werner in January '08. Everything that I see on this forum is about accurate. $300 a week is a joke, after taxes and other deductions, 180.00 a week. That pretty much figures to about $4.00 an hour in a 70 hour week. I just couldn't see myself driving for less than minimum wage. I make more being on unemployment then driving. I did have an awesome trainer and I highly respect him, but he clued me in on what Werner(Anti-Christ) Enterprises does to their drivers. They force dispatch you farther away from home when your trying to get home. And if you refuse you get the talk from the terminal gastopo. I had a family emergency and needed to get home and could've left in PA, but talked me into driving to Texas, supposely closer, to get home to Florida. Thirty-six hours later, I made it home off from the devil's express(greyhound). I went on a LOA, to think out what I wanted to do and never returned. Now with the knowledge I have , I tell people to methodically think out your career in truck driving and not to listen what recruiters say.

MessageI have proof that Werner steals between 10 and 75 miles on each driver every dispatched trip.
I've been keeping a journal with all my dispatched trips during 2008 almost 9000-10000 unpaid miles and they're doing this to all their drivers.
That cumulates to more than 100 million miles/year unpaid to drivers but charged to their customers(somewhere between 30-35 milions profit just from this, non taxable i wonder if IRS knows that)
If i'll ever get in any kind of trouble with them i know what to do to make them pay for all this mess.
So if you guys need any help you can count on me.
Also be aware on leaving your email or phone numbers on any website since they have a lot of low lifes reporting back to them.
Good luck and God Bless you all in this messy life.

Messagehi my name is dustin. i just got out of driving school @coastal college. was is a really great school
and i got a job at werner. and like you said the recruiter lied her ass off to get me there (to south dallas terminal). Every thing she told me was a lie but i did not know that till i got there . she said i was guaranteed a south west regional spot after training was over. Since i was going south west regional my trainer would also be south west regional as well and i would go home once a week for the whole training time . After training I'd be making 35 cent a mile .800 a week she said. When i got there for orientation . i told them that she told me 800.00 a week and they said "who told you that"? that's not right . You are going out with the first trainer we can get you . and you are going to to be out all 48 states for 8 weeks
so i asked about the pay. I told them she said .35 cent a mile and they just laughed at me ad said all you get is 21 cent a mile and there so many other things. they take out so many things in your check that your 320 a week in training turns in to 180 a week . after all that comes out
then they charge you $4 every time you use the card your pay check goes on. so i finally just called my wife and told her to come get me and ill go some where else. I'm still afraid they will put something that did not happen on my DAC. .. so im 100% very disappointed in werner and would suggest any one thinking about going there not to waste their time ... smilie(Edited minor spelling errors)

MessageHey there. This is WiseOne from The Truckers' Report. I am glad to see someone who cares enough to make a site informing people about Werner. I respect ya as I respect people who care enough to help others NOT go through what they have. I have had my site up almost 6 years now and we STILL have a whole lot of work to do! Rock on!

MessageYour right. As a trainer I was left in the dark many a time. Werner does not care about their people, it is all about the money and freight. Brad, with road breakdown (I hope you see this) is a ignorant and stupid desk jockey. He quoted regulations about freight, and put my son' and my safety at risk. blamed it on someone else that the ball was dropped by road break down. You know half those people would never disrespect a person unless they were on a phone. If I knew who you were I would show you what it was like to receive the wrath of a father that loves his children more than you love your freight. You can kiss my ass

MessageI hired on with Werner from my CDL school and also had bad experiences. I spent 2 1/2 months with a Trainer and did not break my training because of being told I would recieve a $500 bonus, fairly new truck, and 36 cents per mile. WHAT A BUNCH OF LIES !!!! After learning they were not paying the training bonus, I requested I be sent to the nearest terminal to turn the truck in and buy myself a bus ticket home. My Fleet Manager said he would take care of me and my request. YEAH RIGHT. Sent me on a 16 hour run with 9 hours left on my 70 hour clock, to which I was 1 hour away from home when the Qualcom went off.... Drove truck home and next day delivered it to the closest terminal. 2 weeks later, I get a check stub where Werner charged me $255 for a recovery fee. So, I ended up paying Werner to work for Werner.... They are rip offs and LIARS !!!!

MessageMy fiance went off to train with Werner on May 18th. He was promised TONS of stuff. It's all been lies. The mileage payrate IS .26 at the moment and they tried to tell him he wouldn't be coming home until mid-September. Of course my man flew off the handle and gee it seems he is coming home Thursday.
Oh and while being 'trained' he witnessed his trainer receiving sex acts from a canadian hooker and also had the honor of driving while his trainer took a crap in a plastic bag. Yum.
During his time home he plans on tossing out applications to other companies. Werner is a joke. They are using their employees as cheap ass labor.
Oh, and my man also intends to go BACK to the school where he obtained his CDL-A on the day the Werner recruiter shows so he can sit in the back and yell "BULLSHIT!" at every statement made.
I'm so GLAD you made this website. Wish we'd found it back in May!

MessageWerner lies about everything it can, treats its drivers like shit, does not properly maintain equipment, has a flawed paperless log system(which inadvertently violates the driver), pays terribly, & cannot give proper directions, just to name a few of its many problems. If you are seriously thinking of going to work for this company, suicide is an alternative.

MessageI was starting to worry that I might need suspenders to hold up my bvds. Then I read about real women love bellies and the Pie Times Circumference Great Pyramid connection. My life is pure bliss, now.
Flying monkeys did not start in the Land of Oz, their was an ancient hindu diety named Hanuman, don't know if he drives truck.

I'd leave a link, but got this message:

Message"Werner Trainer Craps Himself" has brought a new dimension to an old axiom: WernerScrews. I cannot say I had the same experience, but it was close--very close. The only way to experience Werner Enterprises is to sit in the crap-pit with your trainer(s). You might have had a few good trainers, but you tend to forget their names when you are wrestling the steering wheel from a psycho cryophiliac trainer--hell-bent on driving the truck off a snowy mountain. Safe travels.
