| Message | Jack and Karen, My thoughts and prayers are with you today as each day they connect with our God, our Healer. "The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation." Psalm 118:14 This verse was a battlecry we kept in our hearts for Daddy, and I want to send it to you, knowing our God will do more than we ask or imagine. Always working all things out for our good. God's grace is sufficient. Amen. I love you all and your precious family is so dear. Know my arms are around you and my joy is overflowing knowing how your children and grandchildren love and support you. Blessings, Joneal |

| Message | Hey Jack and Karen, A belated word of thanks to you for hosting Marcia, Jim and Sue, and myself s few weeks ago. What a wonderful time we had! Thanks for every thing: enjoying your beautiful home, visiting the Marine Museum (awesome!), seeing Quantico and your former residences, eating good meals including Mickey D's, and most of all reliving lots of family memories and hearing lots of stories about bygone years. Especially from Jack and Jim! And Jack, we are still astonished at your remarkable memory for details and names. Thanks for sharing with us! Our love and prayers are with you every day. Keep up the good fight! Paul and Anna |

| Message | Hi all. Thanks Tami for being such a great family reporter and keeping the rest of us informed on your Dad's health. I just want you all to know that you are never far from my thoughts and prayers. You are all so wonderfully special and mean the world to me! And you are all so brilliantly funny.. .the Shacks and Daniels never had a problem finding humor in almost everything..Some cuzzin was usually willing to supply a funny look, story or joke if we went too long without laughter. So here's one for you. It's a preacher story which will be fitting in this family of great yarn-tellers.. I mean.. I mean preacher-men. A preacher was riding his bike one day and rode by a little boy who was exerting great effort to get his lawn mower started. The preacher stopped and asked him if he could help. The little boy looked worn out. He said "Wow,man! I wish I could find me a bike like that. I'd trade this lawn mower for it in heartbeat!" Well, the soft-hearted preacher, feeling generous, said. "That's a good deal. Here you take my bike and I'll take that lawn mower off your hands." The boy loved it."Wow, thanks, sir". The preacher lived just a few houses down, so he thought he'd just start that mower right up and make his way home with it. He began pulling on the starter-cord.After several tries without success, he asked the little boy, "Son, how do you start this thing?" The boy said "Well, you got to yell and cuss at it."
