| Message | A message I was not expecting so soon, and my heart is full of love for each one of you though it is also heavy with sadness.  I wish that I were there to give hugs to all. Karen, my sweet friend, you know how very special you and Jack are to Don and me and how very blessed we are to have you as long time friends. I will never forget our cruise together almost a year ago now, and I will treasure those memories forever. Jack got more mileage around that ship than the 3 of us put together, and we'll never know how many middle of the night "snacks" he had. Gosh, 49 years makes for a lot of wonderful memories way back to our taking turns having our babies - Jacquie, then Steve, then Tami, then Diane and Donna, then Sandi and finally Jon. Miles have separated us most of those years, but the close ties have always remained. I love you with all my heart, and I am praying that you feel the presence of our beloved Jesus right by your side each hour of the day. Our family is praying for all of you and holding you close in our hearts. We love you! |

| Message | 9-18-09 Dearest family, I wanted to try and send this message through your e-mail. I have been so touched by all of the responses to Jack and his family and the Cross they are carrying at this time. My cousin Jack is my hero and always has been. His dedication to GOD, his family and to his country have been the most remarkable journey to be a part of. Watching him from the time I was a small child up to this very moment I have always had the deepest respect, admiration and sincere honor to know this man and be a small part of his family. When we were all children we played in the waters of Broken Bow Oklahoma lake and we had some of the best picnics anyone could ever hope for. I remember the many summer nights we were outside in Grandmother and Granddaddy's big yard and all the 'boy' cousins, (9) I think, would be playing football, or baseball, or just doing what boys do and trying to kill one another. There was so much love and laughter from all. What joyous childhood memories. I am glad we are all a part of one another. Jack, you have been in our prayers constantly and we will continue to Praise GOD and Glorify his name and ask that he lift you and your family up for strength,healing and comfort. I love you deep, deep within my heart. In my back yard I have a small garden of tulips that a beautiful lady by the name of Hazel gave to me from our grandmothers yard.
