MessageHey Jack:
I was just thinking how nice it would be to get this Buck & Hazel Daniel Clan (60 of us by my last count)together for a family reunion (maybe in Louisana) after you whip this cancer thing. I still remember the time me, you, Paul & Robert played a game of basketball against these four other guys ( I don't remember who won) but we had a great time. We think and pray for you & Karen everyday.

MessageJack's Journey somehow made it into our Spam, and Don just discovered it as he was awake in the middle of the night. We appreciate being included but DO NOT LIKE THE REASON FOR THE BLOG. Jack and Karen, you are our oldest and dearest friends, and we go way back together in friendship and love. We are so very sorry that you now have to deal with the BIG C but know that your faith, love for each other, your precious family and your many friends will carry you along this journey with many prayers everyday and enough love to comfort you each step of the way.
My Bible Study is an army of Prayer Warriors, and I will add your name today to their prayer list and will lift you up tomorrow at church. Don and I love you both and are so thankful for our visit with you last fall. Don said to remind you that the PGA is at Colonial this weekend and one of his fondest golf memories with you was the day the two of you played Colonial. He said to tell you that "THERE ARE MANY 10 FOOT PUTS STILL TO MAKE. YOU'VE MADE THEM BEFORE AND YOU CAN DO IT THIS TIME." We are praying for you and send much love to both of you and all of your family. Praise God for children and grandchildren. smilie

MessageDear Jack and Karen,
We are of course adding our prayers to all others each and every day as well as the prayers of many in our church. The battle is underway and we are all priviliged to be part of it on your behalf. Jack, we love you, big bro, and wish we could be with you. If I could play golf with you on Saturday that would cheer you up because I would probably end up in a sand trap and you remember how hilarious I am when it comes to trying to get out of sand traps. I believe my efforts have been recorded for posterity. Karen, you are in our prayers just as much and we send much love to you too. Hang in there, you two, and we will be reaching out across the miles to express our concern and prayers.
By the way, happy memorial day---Thanks for serving our country! Agape, Paul and Anna

MessageDear Jack & Karen,

I think you two were about the first CSC people I met when Lee started to work there more than 20 years ago. He and I have nice memories associated with you both and with those times. We are so sorry you're going through this ordeal and are praying for you and for all your doctors and medical staff as you take this journey together. We'll keep visiting the Web site to see how things are going. We wish you continued strength, faith, and peace.

MessageBlessings, blessings, and more blessings I pray over you and ask God to provide ALL that you need in the days ahead. Jack, you are a strong patriarch of a amazing family. I am certain that your Dad is watching and is so very proud of the man that you are. Your life has been a truly wonderful gift to your children and grandchildren and to all of us in the extended family. As our oldest cousin, you lead by your honorable and courageous choices in life, and you always have been one whom I have admired. I appreciate the solid man of faith that you are. My Daddy adores you and has talked about you my entire life as a dear friend and a man whom he trusted and loved as much as anyone in his life. And I too, have such respect for you and the generous and caring man of God that you have always been. You give so much to others, especially to your family. You are not only the strong, tough, courageous man that served our country so bravely for the cause of freedom, you brilliantly combined those traits with your gentle, kind, and joyful nature. It takes a real man to authentically handle both sides as well as you do. I know that God has you in the palm of His hand and shares in this journey. He has paved the way for you and will not ever, ever leave you. And with confidence we as your loving family, trust Him with your care.
I love you all, Family.
Blessings,
Joneal

MessageJack and Karen and family,
We will keep you in our prayers constantly as you face this challenge. We can face anything with the help of our Heavenly Father who holds us in His hands. I'm so thankful we have that promise so we can face difficult times. The journey of cancer is not one we ever plan for but we travel the road set before us and come out on the other side. Stay positive and we'll postively pray.

MessageI just received your email from Jackie Robertson who I now work with. I was saddened to hear this news. I first met Jack at CSC just after he left the Marine Corps. I later worked for him directly for a while. I have been back at CSC for 13 years now and know many folks here remember him fondly. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.
