MessageKaren and Jack,
You are both in our thoughts and prayers daily. We are as confident as you, that you are in good hands with your doctors, new technology and God.

The pictures of your family in Canada were fun to look at. Megan is surely a beauty. Gosh Jack, how did you get such a fine bunch of beautiful women in your life? Karen might have had something to do with that....
We will be checking in on you the week of fourth of July....
Love and God Bless... Diane and Ken

MessageJack, watching the U.S. Open today reminded me of our tours of that fine course back in 1963 or 1964. I don't remember flying a chip shot into the hole at 17 like Tiger did today.

We are praying and rooting for you. Cheers, Mike and Lori

MessageDear Jack and Karen
Glad to hear you are able to celebrate your grandaughter's graduation...
We have you in our prayers and thoughts daily.
In fact, we just bought a little golden retriever puppy yesterday and guess what we named him? JACK! It is a perfect name for this beautiful little puppy. We will be picking him up today and will take a picture and send.
I am sure you will be enjoying yourself with your family this weekend. We will keep on praying
for your speedy recovery from all of your medical procedures.
We will call when we get back down to VA in July.
God Bless you Jack, Karen and Family.
Diane and Ken

MessageI'm sorry to hear about the headaches & the Prednisone (I really hate that stuff!). I know the waiting is difficult, but all too soon you'll be wishing the treatments were all done.

We continue to keep you all in our prayers and have you on our church prayer list as well.

Enjoy celebrating with Megan, and congratulations to the graduate!

MessageMr. Daniel,

As Tami was just telling me about your diagnosis, she also reminded me of how many of us you helped early in our careers. CSC was such an extension of Bluefield College!

I loved my time there and was always so grateful. After 6 mos. of working at CSC, I moved back to my hometown because my father was ill. After weeks of searching in vain for a job, he told me to go back to Northern Virginia because it was clear that my future was there. CSC took me right back and sure enough, from there my career moved me into places that I couldn't have dreamed for myself. Most importantly, staying in Northern Virginia led me to my sweet husband and from there I've been blessed with children. We now live in a wonderful town in North Carolina and I can truly see God's hand of blessing on me. Thank you for being a vessel that the Lord was able to use to bring goodness to so many. My life was enriched in large part because of your help!

I always think of Tami with such fondness and am glad for the opportunity to thank you for everything! I feel confident that you are in good hands medically, but most importantly, you have all exhibited such great faith. What a testimony of trust in our Heavenly Father. That trust will never be in vain.

Blessings to you all, with love and admiration.

MessageDearest Jack, Karen, and Family,

Yesterday I received your card, Karen. I thank you so very much for sharing with me your news. This site is wonderful! My heart is truly broken, as Jack has always been so precious to my heart since the time I met him in Fairfax, VA at the Community Church. He exubes God's character in all he does. Also, Karen, you are truly a beautiful lady in all ways. May God comfort you all in these very difficult days ahead. Please know that you all will be in my prayers continually. It actually will be exciting to see how the Lord will heal Jack and work in so many lives in the process. God's plan is always the best! Christ's love will hold you close during the whole process. Hebrews 13:5 says "He will never leave thee or forsake thee." Just trust Him, as I know you already do. It is great to know that the cancer is treatable. Praise Jesus! If there is anything I can do to make this journey any easier for you all, please let me know. Remember, your help comes from the Lord. (Psalm 121:1,2) Also, give God all of your worries and He will iron them out. (Phil. 4:6,7)
Many blessings to the whole beautiful Daniel family. You all are so wonderful.
In Christ's Love, Della Elzie

MessageWho knew back in 2000, that an ATF Inspector posted to Ottawa (who incidentally hated Canadian winters and didn't even own a 'real' coat or boots!) - would become my dearest friend. Nearly 8 years have passed, and through all the experiences, Tami - good and not so good - today, I felt compelled to share my thoughts and prayers. I know it's been difficult for you, being so far away from your family. But I know that this 'blog' is a way for you to stay connected. It's such a wonderful way to exchange memories and news about your father. Having lived through a similar experience, I know only too well what a difficult time this is. I hope you and your family can take comfort in the mutual love and respect you hold for one another and in the fact that your father is admired and cherished by so many. I had the pleasure of meeting 'Jack' on a few occasions over the years, he has an innate kindenss and warmth about him, that I will never forget. Please know that your Dad is in my thoughts and prayers....Stay strong and keep the faith. Tami, I hoe you know that I'm always here for you. Some people live their whole life and never know a friend like you. Love ya.
