MessageI am Norma Ericson's daughter-in-law and she briefly told me about your story. I'm glad you are documenting your experience and allowing others to join with you in prayer. I had to catch up with all of your entries, and as I read through them I was touched by your calmness even though I know you are going through an unpredictable, fearful, and exhausting experience. One of your entries was especially meaningful to me today. You said that you thought that running around with your kids was exhausting, but the experience of watching your child go through this trial was far more challenging. My heart was touched. Today I read the words of Helaman to his sons, Nephi and Lehi, and he said over and over, "Remember, remember..." I want to remember to keep my priorities in line with a merciful and gracious Father in Heaven. Thank you for your faith and endurance. Thank you for sharing your heart.

MessageCarmen, Shayla and family,
I am Aunt Pam's sister. I am keeping all of you in my prayers. As a person who works with cancer patients (radiation arm) I know that these times are hard and sometimes the cure seems worse than the disease. There will be better days ahead and as you already know, GOd is with you in all that you do. My daughter and her family and myself all live near Pittsburgh, PA so if you ever need to come this way, please know that we are available to help in any way that we can.
We will keep all of you in our prayers because this not only impacts Shayla, but the rest of your family also.
God Bless
Sandy

MessageShayla! Hi! Do you know us? We sit in front of your family at church? You know us... We have the 3 little kids that drop food and crayons at your feet? sorry about that by the way... We missed seeing your pretty smile in church today. We did love all the bald heads though. I loved the picture of you on your blog with all those guys! You will be in our prayers and we hope for your quickest return to good health. I hope you will keep your beautiful smile shining brightly!

MessageWe are in your ward Shayla. We moved in not to long ago. My sister Heidi Gustin use to live across the street from you. We love your family and we love you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we are here to help in any way that we can. If there is one thing I can say, it is that I know that Heavenly Father lifts us up in times of trial, as I am sure you do as well. I also know he hears and answers our prayers. You are in ours.
