MessageMy wife Jean [nee Henderson] was born and brought up in Newmains and we settled in Newmains Gospel Hall as a couple when we married in August 1971 until we moved to Hamilton in 1985. The photos of the Ark float at Newmains Gala day brought back great memories - what a day of outreach that was - "2349BC The Ark Saves - 1980AD Jesus Saves".
A very formative time in our Christian life. For the last 19 years I have been Pastor at Riverside Evangelical Church, Ayr [a much larger church] - but we still look back with affection at Newmains. Great website Peter - keep up the good work.

MessageI enjoyed attending your kids club in the seventies,
the songs we used to sing were fantastic alas i can only remember snippets of them.
I do not rember their titles eg. Mr noah had an ark the children thought it such a lark,
also a song which had lines saying she lost it her little peace of siver where ever could it be it is funny that these songs keep appearing in my thoughts and make me smile.
It would be great if you could put them on your excellent website as i would like to remember them in full.thanks. smilie

MessageIt has been a great joy for me over many years to come and preach at Newmains. I am delighted to know that The Gospel is communicated world wide on the net from the little Assembly at Newmains.

Thanks Peter.
