MessageThe Autobiography of Malcom X changed my life! Alex Haley Jr. was a literary genius and Denzel Washington should have gotten his Oscar for that role (as Malcolm, not Alex). Americans, (Black and White and everyone in between) need to know that Malcom became SUCH a man of peace, a great man, not the caricuture we've been fed.

MessageI was born and raised in Chicago and came to Omaha the first time to attend college in 1982. I did not give the site serious consideration until another transplant from the East coast complained to me that there was not a monument here to celebrate Brother Malcolm. A day or so later I was visiting a friend who lives a few blocks from the site and I was compelled to take my camera and record what I saw. I have posted picture on a webalbum and on my facebook. I want to share my findings and thoughts with all concerned. I hereby pledge my support toward these efforts

MessageI Believe that the things that Malcolm X did during his life has changed lives of many, some people were even able to escape racism, Some People Say that Malcolm was to much of an extreme activist, but what they dont know is they way he preached to the people near the end of his life, Malcolm did use to hate the white man but he even emerged passed that and fought for our brothers and sisters out there, while teaching everyone to look past color and treat one another with equality.

Malcolm X deserves a memorial

Keep on doing what you're doing! Much respect and appreciation for your tireless efforts to "Be the change you want to see.." in North Omaha. Healing in North Omaha should lead to healing in the greater Omaha community... It will take unity among your board members and constituents and also unified efforts with other empowerment and social change organizations. Malcolm X's birth site is symbolically THE location for re-birth and revolutionary growth to spark; and it's happening! I believe in the believing leaders of your foundation, and I see progress. Hallelujah!
