| Message | Paul,
Oscar Ferrell sent me your great description of your class reunion and also your blog address.
I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Especially, your mentions of names of your fellow DHS students brought back good memories to me. I taught history, economics and one year (the year Paul Huber, who taught the print shop related courses moved up to replace Johnson as principal), I taught journalism and had a senior English class. I spent seven years in Douglas and will never forget it. Great students.
As for me, I'm 82 and living in Sun City - Carolina Lakes. My house is directly across the road from the spot where I was born in Indian Land, SC. After Douglas I taught one year in AJo, AZ and then to a junior college in Orlando, Fl. After two years there I was hired by my alma mata, Winthrop College. Retired from there in 1989.
My best, Louise Pettus |
