| Message | Warning: This is the second half of the story so read the other post first! So they were so nice and gave us pajamas and the mattress off their beds! We had a blast singing and talking with them! Then we finally went to sleep and told them to wake us up at 7:15 so we can go back and meet the father before he left to shul. So Yedida and I slept in the same Israeli bed (for those of you who don't know they are tiny!) So as you can imagine we went to sleep after 3 woke up at 7:15, and we slept together in an israeli bed so we probably had less then an hour of sleep. So we get up at 7:15 and walk back half sleeping. We get there and knock but we don't hear anyone inside, so we figured that he must've left for shul already. So we decide to go to shul because either way we had to daven. So after shacharis we leave and go back to the apartment hoping that somebody will be up. The mother was up, and we didn't really want to tell her what had happened but we didn't really have a choice. She felt so bad - but we told her that we really enjoyed! We went right to sleep but they woke us at 10:15 in the morning for the meal! After lunch we went back to sleep and then to visit Lana! Isn't that a funny story! Have a shanah tovah - and daven for everyone - and this year should be full of good things! Shira Kruger wishes you all a happy and healthy rosh hashanah! Miss you all! kit! |

Everyone else - stoner, rl, rebecca, leetal - it's so great to know that you guys are still alive somewhere! Please email me - I'd love to hear from you! And now for the funny story about my shabbos: I went with Yedida to her cousins and they have an empty apartment across the hall form them do we slept there. On friday night we decided to go visit Faige in seminary because they were having an in-shabbos. We left our door unlocked and didn't take a key. We go and have a really good time and then go back to our apartment - up and down a ton of stairs in the cold and rainy weather! We get up to the apartment on the 7th floor! and i turn the knob and it's locked! Then Yedida tries it and it's locked! And we try their door and it's locked! So we knock on their door but no one was up and no one woke up. So we figured that our only choice was to go back to faige's seminary and sleep there! So we walk all the way back up there (thank goodness we had brought sweatshirts with us because it was mighty cold out) Then we get there and the building is locked so Yedida was banging on the door and I was yelling up to the window "hello, hello" but they couldn'r hear me because they were singing so loudly. Finally, someone opened the door, and we went up to Faiges apartment and told them all what had happened. To be continued .... |
