MessageSarah,
I work on the display throughout the year but the actual set up starts in October. Each evening and weekend are dedicated to the display. This year I took off work for the month of November and worked 12hrs. a day seven days a week until it was up and shining on the 2nd of Dec.
At times the task can be overwhelming, both physically and financially and each year I tell the family this could be my last, but when the lights are finally turned on, those thoughts always fade away in the glow of Collingwoodlights.

MessageWe were wondering how long it takes to set everything up? And was the Santa Claus in the window real, or a projection? Thank you so much for putting this light display on, and we hope that that it will run every year. Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,

Sarah Meehan

MessageWe have seen your house for as long as we can remember! It is a holiday tradition, and we almost cried. It is beautiful. This year, we had to sit out in the rain for 45 minutes, but we just couldn't look away! This is the best house out there! smilie

P.S- We love when the house dances! smilie

MessageDear Bill,

After being there on a night that the lights weren't on, we ventured back again Dec. 20 and were rewarded by a spectacular show! Also probably the mildest weather that we've ever had in the several years that we have been coming to see your lights. Usually it is too cold to be out of the car long, but Tuesday night was balmy. smilie smilie smilie smilie

MessageDear Bill,
I am visiting my daughter in Alexandria all the way from southern CA and I must say that your Christmas light display is the most awesome I have ever seen. I especially enjoyed Beach Boys "Little St Nick".... Awesome, awesome, awesome....

MessageCollingwood Lights has entered into Patch's, "Deck Your House" contest. Please show Bill Vaughan your support by going to this link and voting for his house, http :// deckthehouse.patch.com/entry/228072?=f2kips His entry is under the Hybla Valley Patch site. If he wins, he will have $100,000 to give to a local school. And if he is a finalist, he can get a bit of his December light bill paid. You can vote once a day until December 26th. smilie
