| Message | In the 23 years that I have had a display I have always considered Collingwood Lights a small way to give back to the community. Other than the donate feature on this site, I have never really solicited donations.However,this year is different. It has been a stressful time with virtually no work for the last three months and in hopes of covering some of the expense of this years display I have added a donation box at the driveway entrance. Donations can also be made here on this site by clicking on videos on the homepage and directly under the Sandstorm video, clicking on donate. This will be my first and last mention of donations. Over the years we've brought ailing parents to your display and have enjoyed them oooo and aaaah like children again. Your home/display is absolutely ingrained in the hearts of our children. My mother is 66 years of age and felt like a young girl(in her words)and my son absolutely enjoyed the music combination with the awesome lights. The Santa in the window brilliant touch!!! | Message | Bill - I have never seen any signage for donations. I understand and greatly appreciate if you've determined that this is your very generous, unsubsidized gift to the public. However, I would like to suggest that if you have any favorite charities, I'm sure that there are many who would consider donating to those charities for all the joy that you bring with your display. Just a thought that would further enhance the spirit of Christmas (giving to those who need). |
