MessageHello Diego my old friend...
Thank you for such nice comments. this is the reason we have got this together, it's been too long that people have been sitting on sessions, not willing to share and for what? I can understand the traders as I used to be one many moons ago, but there's plenty of older people, like Andrew & myself, that don't sell anymore that have these big collections of tapes that are just gathering dust, when they could be out there for the next generations of sound system fanatics to enjoy as much as we have...

For now you can leave messages, suggestion's and any info that may be useful on here, it's checked regularly, so we will soon get back.. Would love to make it more interactive...

As for donation's have been trying to get my paypal on here, but have not been able to yet, so if anyone feels to they can always drop something in the box at dancehall revival
All donations will go towards trying to make this bigger and better....

Sorry Diego went off on one there & forgot I was replying to your nice message!!!!!

Good to see you over here my friend.........

PEACE

MessageCongratulations on creating a wonderful site gentlemen. What a fantastic resource for Sound System Culture & History. Word + Sound=Power. This is just the sort of thing I was looking for when I went to DHR. Its great not to just have the music but the history as well. Sound System Culture is largely neglected in books and is mainly an Oral culture. Tapes are passed hand to hand, and reminiscences mouth to ear. Its wonderful that the net can open this world up to those of us who weren't fortunate enough to experience it live. Most important is persons like yourself who are willing to share their experience and hard earned collections with us. Sound System is a integral part of not just Reggae but all musical history.
It would be nice if you had a place on the board where people could weigh in with questions or info of their own. However, I realise this is quite an undertaking as is, and I greatly appreciate as such.
Many Many thanks for all your generosity in sharing not only your music & knowledge but also your time and effort as well. Please let me know if you guys will be needing donations.

Thanks again,
Diego
