| Message | I am the great granddaughter of a Martha Ann Kate Orgill who was born in Ilkeston, Nottingham in 1872. I don't know much about the family but have heard there was an Orgills draper shop on Ilkeston Rd around the turn of 1900 owned by her brother Arthur Orgill. Does anyone know any more about this? |

| Message | Hi Joe, My paternal grandad was called Joseph Henry Orgill and he was born in/around Derbyshire 1914. He had 3 children although the first child (daughter) sadly died at 6 months one of the other two being my dad). He had a brother called Albert and he had just the one child. We are a small family network in Leicestershire and I am interested in tracing our family tree. There is an island off Scotland called Orgil if you are interested?  Bye for now! |

| Message | Hi Joe I am decended from Henry Orgill who was born in Newhall 1810. His father was Joseph Orgill who married Sarah Whetton. His mother Charlotte Shaw married Joseph in 1809. We believe that she may have died in childbirth, as the record of his baptism only mentions his father, and the fact that he married Sarah soon after. I found the Orgill web site very interesting. especially as we appear to share the same ancestry. Regards Sandra |
