MessageDear Benicio,

You remind me of James Dean. You have that same deep sadness to your soul that you bring to each character you play. I am a writer and I am writing two novels one about my uncles and father and their youth in the 60's. All the different lives and directions all four lived. Two were decorated military fighter pilots, one an army sniper, my dad, a graduate of UCLA raising girls and my youngest uncle who was a struggling college student and DJ in Los Angeles circa 1964. It's a story honoring them... starts out with the morning of 911 and this young woman who will be 40 in a week and she is thinking about her life and reflects back on her childhood in the 60' and 70's. You remind me of one of my uncles. Something about your soul that comes out on screen. I have two publishers interested in my book and one screen play broker. Maybe this story will come to light one day....I can't wait to see the "Wolfman" I have always been terrified of werewolves because my best friends brother made us watch the original when were kids. It looks amazing. Best Wishes to you.

MessageDear Benicio,

What a superb performance you gave in Things We Lost In The Fire!
Just incredible! Have never seen your work before! Shall now look
forward to discovering your other films; there is such a beautiful stillness in your work; and to see this caliber of film is, sadly, all
all too rare! The very last thing I expected was to be completely blown away by a movie on Lifetime TV this evening, Thank you so much; please stay Rare!
Actors like you and Robert Duval are an inspiration to watch; there is such a rich humanity in your work Thank You so much! Victoria

MessageThank you so much for this wonderful site devoted to a phenomenal actor. When I think of the variety of movies Del Toro has appeared in, it's almost as if he was a completely different person in each. That's why I always look forward to learning and seeing what he will do next: He is one of the greatest actors of our time, and there are so few like that today. In fact, I'm hard-pressed to think of any actor today -- other than Morgan Freeman, much older than Del Toro -- who is Del Toro's equal in terms of talent and ability to seemingly and seemlessly completely transform himself into another person with such ease. I hope his career is long and full of the extensive variety of roles he does so well. Honestly, I consider him to be among the acting greats of our time: Marlon Brando, James "Jimmy" Stewart, Spencer Tracy, Orson Welles, Charlie Chaplin ... just to name a few. As a movie-goer, I know the film experience would not be as full, as rich, as thought-provoking and as entertaining had Del Toro never been an actor. I thank God that he became an actor and not an attorney. Surely, his father is pleased with his son by now.
