| Message | Thank-you for speaking the truth. Those "church" buildings have become the modern day "golden calf" and many are being decieved into worshipping the buildings and organizations, over the Lord. But he did warn that, "Many will come in my name", and if they say,"Lo, here is Christ, or there is Christ" we are not to listen to it. The term nowdays.."Respected member of the church", is not biblical at all. God respects no ones person, and we are all equal in his eyes. Sadly, many will be decieved until the return of our LORD. | Message | We are missionaries in Tanzania (not traditional mor doing church planting) but have been in many discussions trying to urge missionaries to use this model (house churches with discipled elders not educated pastors in church buildings) as a non-Western method of spreading the Kingdom of God. I believe it would be far more effective and fulfulling to Africa than the traditional method. I was just poking around on the internet wondering if anyone was meeting this way in the States! Can't wait to poke around some more on the web site! |

| Message | Hi I agree with the thrust of your article about going to Church, except this paragraph: "Jesus spent a lot of time rebuking the religious leaders of the day and their teachings. Yet still today, most Christians at large are doing just what many religious leaders of the day say we should do. Because a person goes to seminary and is now considered a “trained and credentialed professional”, does not mean that their methods or ways are right. In fact, the role of the modern day church leader is found nowhere in scripture.
