| Message | Mr wilbur was wondering if there was anyone around who was on the uss randolph he is 87 now and often wonders about his old shipmates. He is my farher in law and is a very proud man. I would LOVE to learn more about him As well as your adventures. Hoping someone will share your Memories of him with me? Joseph F. | Message | I donated 5 Randolph Roundups from the 57/58 cruise and a Task Group Alfa 1960 to the Naval Historical Center. They also have a cruise book from the 57/58 Med cruise. | Message | I served on board the USS Randolph as 2nd Class Seaman from the day the ship was commissioned to the end of the war. I was in charge of the laundry. Worked 12 hours days keeping up with the needs of my fellow seaman. If you want to discuss anything with me, talk to my friend, Bill Shaw at shaw@themartechgroup.com. I'm 87 years old and in poor health. I'm not sure how much time left, but I would respond if someone wants to talk with me. Contact Bill and he will get a hold of me. |
