MessageDoes blogging about corruption really help? Are the targets of these blogs ever bothered by whats witten here? How do we make this a little more effective? Mahishi still continues as the chief secretary I think.

Each time a fresh corruption case surfaces there is a lot of press covereage, but there is no follow up. Can the press not catalog all the corruptions cases that surface and follow up on them diligently? Maybe publish a report card indicating the progress in a montly manner. This report card might even improve their circulation smilie

We see corruption daily in the form of tampered auto meters, cops who turn a blind eye to any violations etc.

2 weeks back I saw a cop in Okalipuram stop a bike & ask for some papers. Th bike rider just payed Rs 50 and drove off. The cop continued with his work looking for the next catch.

Almost all autometers in B'lore are tampered, nowadays even the electronic/digital auto meters are tampered. They show 10-11 kms when U have travelled just 8-9. This can only happen with the concurence of the RTO officials?

MessageMr Sandeep appears to be too naive. Most of the corrupt IAS officers take more than 20 lakh bribe per month. Giving them 1 lakh salary per month can't satisfy their greed. They are here to loot the country. We should get rid of them at the earliest.

Put Mahishi in the Hall of Shame immediately.

MessageThe last few days I had been thinking more about corruption given the political situation in the state. I was wondering if there would be a site on the net that disusses corruption by our politicians & I found this. Thanks to both U and your husband, things might improve in some areas at least. Won't it be good if this can become a mass movement both on the net and on the streets? We will never achieve the vision of 'India 2020' if we do not address corruption.
Given the political oppurtunism that exists in the state there is no way we can expect an improvement irrespective of which party rules us. The bureaucrats that will be nominated by the parties will only be worse than their predecessors. If any state is worse than Karnataka in corruption, then I wonder how that state will be (Hopefully such a state does not exist & we probably top the list). The corruption and the inaction of the bureacracy is evident in every aspect of our lives, take a look at the uncontrolled growth of real estate 'development' and the 'control' of traffic on our streets to name two.

Good luck again to the two of U & as stated earlier I hope this does become a mass movement both on the net and the streets.

MessageYou have exposed Mahishi's misdded, he must be the most embarrassed IAS officer ever in the history , now with the Women Commission's order he is due for punishment. Well done Jayashree.

You have lived by your motto: Expose, Embarrass, Punish. smilie

your letter to the Governor is really great. Please keep it up. We are all with you.

MessageYesterday I read in Deccan Herald about Women Commission passing an order upholding your activities. It is high time that Governor kicks out Mahishi. Mahishi is a real disgrace to Karnataka, earlier he goes the better for Karnataka.

MessageI discovered this site just as i was wishing there was a forum for people to air their experiences of being at the receiving(!) end of the corruption menace.
Considering the horrors that you and your husband are going through, with perhaps the threat of serious bodily harm being ever present, wishing you the best in this noble fight seems such a lame thing to do, but i thought it better than leaving your site without an encouraging word. When i am in Bangalore in Dec 07, perhaps i will have the opportunity to add to the hall of shame. Until then, more power to you!

MessageReally amazing. If a few individuals can do so much, What could have been done by institutions like Vigilance Commissions, Lokayukta and what they are not doing also becomes clear.

Let this inspire others who claim to be honest
