MessageSpacek has 12 points in 15 games. He is clearly too good for my team... Are there any month end buyers out there?

MessageSorry to everyone who has emailed me with no reply -- I've been totally swamped for the last few days.
Rest assured, I will be responding to all emails in the next day or so...

Messagethis just in.. i'll be trading for phaneuf, picking brindamour and moving kovalchuk in as my 6th defenseman.. and accusing the two guys in 2nd and 3rd of cheating.. and kessel etc.. other than that, are you questioning my hockey pool morals mr goon?

MessageDan Boyle's the man from Tampa. But I think we should look into drafting a rule that involves something to do with 50% of games started in a defensive role or something to that effect. It may be difficult to police but there are ways.

Messagelow blows? If by low blows you mean making an air tight refutation of your initial plea to dress Brindamour as a D then I guess I'm guilty as charged smilie.

I'm not the one saying Duke is a dirty sneak who would try anything to gain an advantage... I may agree with it smilie but I'm not the one sayin it...

It's quiet around this banterboard unless I try and stir something up every once in a while.

MessageJust playing devils advocate Phil. If Phil can't have a general pool discussion without throwing out low blows, that's really unfortunate. I can see a GM like Duke looking at something like this as another area to try and gain an advantage. Nothing against it, its something that we need to guard against in the future. Everyone wants to win at varying costs, and it would be unfortunate if it was by less than stand up means.

MessageOnly problem with that is Brind'Amour isn't a Defenceman and you don't even have a case to call him one. If you move him to D because he plays the point on the PP then GM Duke can move Kovalchuk to D and mop the floor with you.

If Collin is lucky enough to have Phaneuf play as a forward for the rest of the season (which I highly doubt) then he is fortunate. There's no way you can punish him midseason and change Phaneuf into a forward turning one of the best pool players into one of the worst just cause you're jealous. Possibly once he plays a full season as a forward it's something to look at.

P.S. There was a Tampa Bay Dman who bounced between forward and D for a few years 3 years ago... can't remember who he was though.

MessageWith Calgary now playing Phaneuf at left wing with Conroy and Iginla, a decision needs to be made on how his points are awarded. Obviously we cant have defencemen lighting it up as forwards and their points counting the same. If nothing is decided I plan on drafting Brind amour as a defenceman, as he has been playing the point on the power play over the last several games and his points have been coming from playing the point.

Messagenot too worried about it... not much to write about anyways... add that to the lack of insight in overlooking Letang for the 10th best midseason pick and I'm happy to slip under the radar until 2020. smilie
