| Message | My earlier post was mistakenly sent private..my fault...sorry....here it goes again, with alittle added... You can't be all things to all people, and please everyone all the time. The station is finaly back to and going further than it ever has even when it started as Power 106.7 years ago. I do not doubt that you have lost listeners since the new format change but if so it was for the better. I have no problem with 70's style music but to be all that is played and it be cruddy 70s at that is a buzzkill. I know you have gotten alot of your listeners back that were lost for quite awhile to other stations and satellite...I was one of those. With all the new and different sponsors that are added daily that speaks volumes of the job being done. To all the people at Kixx 106.7 keep up the good work and keep George in line and don't let him revert back to his old ways. |

| Message |  Just to let everyone know, I think Hitman and Uncle Rock both did a good job while here at KIXX. Just because Chris said that DJ's in the past played bad music doesn't mean he was talking about you guys. I thought you guys did a great job! As far as "rap" goes, we have to play all sorts of music, not just class rock. You guys know me, I love the classics, but we have to touch base with everyone. We have had a tremendous response to the new music and it is hard for us to please everyone. As far as my show goes, American Woman, I will try to incorporate more classic stuff during the day and the new stuff in the evening. If you want me to play a block of music for you, just fax it to me at 606-427-7260. |

| Message | Thanks Guys I like your Ideas and will put them into Effect It takes us all.We do play some 70s But not alot the problem before is we played alot of BAD Music and people told me it made them turn it off. so we went with 80s 90s and today simple.The younger listener is what the businesses are going 4 thats the way the world turns.But the play list puts you in charge. I really love my Listeners and want them happy. But I cant make everybody happy. Homer the phone did ring but not like now.I have had alot tell me they are glad we dont play that stuff anymore.Homer maybe we are getting to OLD!!!!!!! |

| Message | Let me clarify this...it wasnt meant to be a slap in the face to Chris by what i said. I think the top 40 thing is a great idea, and i even agreed with the suggestion when i worked there. The rap I was talking about was a few days ago when I turned the station on and heard Kanye West. Maybe it was a 1 time thing. The reason I mentioned the classic rock is because the phone constantly was ringing when i was there playing it, and look how good the flashback is going. Maybe a good idea would be to do more classic rock through the day and venture into more top 40 and hip hop through the evenings...I dont know.. Like i said, you guys have came a long way and I believe the best is still to come. By the way, the new web site looks really good. |

| Message | I really like 106, but I will admit- classic rock was the way to go. Alot of the hip-hop you play now, is great for the hihg schoolers, but they are in school during the day and those of us in the working world might not enjoy that music. I perfer rock myself. Whether its a slow song by a rock group or solo artist, or a mover, shaker song- i want classic rock. I listen to you during the day at work, and yes there are times when I turn down the volume for certain hip-hop songs. I like that you mix it up, trying to please everyone, but with the new format, you play more hip-hop than rock.At work, I listen cause it makes my day go faster and seems to put us in a better mood. of course, not everyone is lucky enough to be able to listen to you at work. And the play list idea is great. I"m working on mine and it will be rock.By the way, how come no 70's music is played? |
