Such a religious centre would only make sense if it was a centre of pilgrimage, such as Lourdes or Rome or Jerusalem or Mecca, but East London is none of those things. This is gross megalomania, empire-building at the expense of British citizens and taxpayers, and, when you consider how many mosques become hide-outs for extremists, traitors and terrorists, quite scary. Use the land for something useful like allotments. |
