Messagehi!

My name is Chiwa. i am an african(zimbabwean) woman living in queensland, australia. i heard about your website through a link from motowngirl. i have to say that i am so, so, so, so impressed with the way that you have learnt to do your little girl's hair so beautifully and professionally! exquisite!! having been around black hair all my life i know better than most that it is not easy dealing with it, even for black people. my mom is hopeless at doing hair and when my sister and i were kids she just used to chop it off. sometimes she would get a bit over-zealous and just cut it bald!!! can you imagine going to school with no hair! i always wanted pretty hair when i was a kid and i think because of the fact that i didn't have anyone to do my hair( forget about going to a stylist, that just was not done!! money down the drain)i gradually learnt how to do hair. i started with box braids when i was about 9, graduated to perfect 'piggy-backs'(but done with yarn or twine by banding rather than braiding), and eventually by the time i was 15, i was able to do corn rows and microbraids. through necessity though, i tought myself how to microbraid my own hair coz it is just so expensive for a black woman living in ausi!! don't ever take your talent for granted coz that's what it is, a talent!!! did i mention i was impressed?! i think i probably did!!!

i have no kids yet but when i do, i will definately bead up their hair with your products!!!!

bye!

MessageHi. I'm expecting my daughter home from Liberia in September, so my friends and family are looking for ways to help us prepare. It would be awesome if you had a "wish list" feature on here, so I could just point them to your site and they could look through my "faves" or pick out something else.

Just a thought! Thanks for having all this in a compact, easy to use site! smilie

MessageHi,
I love the snaps idea for use with beads versus rubber bands. I have 2 daughters and they like beads but using the snaps just adds a nicer touch. Your beads are also very "girly" and pretty so they like those also. Thank-you for your kindess in shipping "snailmail" and for your suggestions on snaps.

MessageHi! We just got our two bone combs and LOVE THEM! They are so much better than the regular combs we were using. There is truely a difference between the bone combs and those plastic combs you can buy in the store. No seams vs seams, I will forever go with the seamless bone combs. The rattail one have even a "sharper" point than the plastic ones bought at Target. So, once again, thank you for providing those. I have sharper, crisper parts with the smaller point and it is much easier to comb. Still hard as she has extremely coarse hair, but easier than it was.

CArrie
