MessageI really feel your pain! I recently had a Spiderbeam die in winds > 70mphh - they were very helpful and I now have a new limb for the SB but I am wary! Conversely, my dipoles have never fallen down! Good luck and great site! 73 Rob, M0RBY

MessageHello, smilie

I have been living in Morecambe for about 3 and a half years and I didn't know that there was a local radio ham group here.

I used to do a bit of DXing myself on a Lowe HF-150, using a long-wire antenna made from an old Radio Shack kit that I bought on eBay.

I found your site while I looking for someone who does elctronic repairs - which I am desparate to get done.

I recently built an electronic version of the WWII enigma encoding machine - from a kit.

I was encouraged to find that when I had finished that after one or two glitches it actually worked!

BUT I was not happy with the quality of the soldering

SO I asked a family member to show me how to do it correctly. In the process he managed to cause enough damage to require someone with the ability to read the circuit diagram to fix it.
Assembling equipment form components is the limit of my expertise

SO I am now looking for someone with electronic repair skills to mend my Enigma.

Is there anyone locally who takes on that kind of work (paid, of course)

I would be grateful for any information.

Best Regards
Barry smilie
