|Message||We stayed here for only a week in August. A week wasn't long enough. This is one of the most beautifully landscaped and arranged campgrounds that we have ever stayed at. We were in one of the smaller lots and it was very large compared with many other campgrounds that we have stayed at. I really can't say enough good things about this place. The bath houses and laundry rooms are very clean and I felt 100% safe by myself everywhere on the property. The staff is outstanding and there is a real community of very friendly campers that "live" there for extended periods. It is a few miles away from Colorado Springs but that was one of the nice things about it. We were in short driving distances from all activities of Co. Springs and Manitou Springs. We drove around and checked the other campgrounds that I had researched online. The others are literally parking lots in the middle of town. They sure don't appear that way online. I am so thankful that we chose Mountaindale and were able to get reservations. I really hate to keep bragging because the campground is always full and I really want to be able to get reservations again. We will most definitely be back here. We have also told all of our camping friends what a great place this is. Keep it up David and crew! Ya'll have an awesome place|
|Message||We stayed here in March while we were looking for a home in Woodland Park Co. We loved every minute of being here. We loved seeing the deer everyday and the fire pit!|
Great place to relax!
|Message||Just stayed the weekend in the getaway cabin. All the employees were very nice as well as the other guests. Very clean and well kept area.|
|Message||My daughter was recently transferred to Ft Carson and we live just north of Phoenix, AZ. We would love to stay at your resort for the summers to get out of the heat of AZ and be close to our daughter there in Colorado Springs. Your resort looks amazing and is located just outside of the Springs area instead of in the city. Love it!|
|Message||As a resident of Colorado Springs, when our house needed renovation & repair we booked it to Mountaindale. Mom & Dad had sold their RV, but had loved camping there. We stayed in the cabins--and when the renovations took longer than expected--eventually stayed in the Mountainview, the Hideaway, the Getaway, and our favorite the Seclusion cabin. In addition to the beautiful facilities, superlative air quality & scenic views, the staff is uniformly outstanding. During what turned into a four-month stay, I met a lot of nice, sociable people visiting from out of state as well as local folks who enjoy getting away from the city on occasion. There is a genuine sense of community at Mountaindale, and often family events, yet one also has all the privacy you could wish for. As we native Coloradoans like to say, we were very Happy Campers! I cannot recommend Mountaindale too highly!|
|Message||What a great place. Property was secluded, very little noise from the outside world. The facility is not "resort-ish" by mainstream definition. If you are looking for a quiet, well maintained, beautiful location, with plenty of elbow room and a place to return to nature....this is the place. I will be returning. thanks to staff for a great weekend.|
|Message||Awesome campground, the best we have seen so far anywhere. We are staying for the next 3 months and have nothing but great things to say. All the sites have 50 amp service, are level packed gravel sites with beautiful landscaping and lots of room. The staff are always working hard every day improving this wonderful place. It may be 17 miles from Colorado Springs, but it is a gorgeous drive and it's centrally located from Pikes Peak and Royal Gorge bridge. Fishing is only 12 miles away in the Arkansas river. We have seen multiple deer, hummingbirds and other wildlife all around the campgrounds, some even as close as the end of our RV. Love this place and will make it on our list of best places to stay as we are full time RV'ers.|
|Message||We will definitely do this again. We stayed in the Getaway cabin. Perfect size for 2 people. Clean, well kept campground. Staff were very friendly. Awesome perk to have the stove and all utensils, etc. Didn't have to bring a thing with us. We got to see deer each morning out our window. Located about 30 minutes outside of downtown Manintou Springs, but well worth the drive. If we ever get out to Colorado again, we will definitely be staying at this campground. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and our vacation a success!|
|Message||Our family stayed in the Ideal Cabin. It was amazing. There was plenty of space for 10 family members. Abby and the rest of the staff was very helpful and accomodating. We enjoyed being able to cook out on the gas grill and sit on our balcony to eat and socialize, but the best part was sitting on the balcony in the early morning and watching the sun rise. There were many deer that walked around the camp early in the morning. If you have small kids, this place was awesome. They absolutely loved the playground area. Thanks for making our trip to Colorado so special!|
|Message||We stayed the month of June 2015 and had a wonderful time. We have traveled to many different locations in the US and Mountaindale is our favorite. All of the staff is very helpful and will do whatever they can to help each and every guest when help is needed. The campsites are some of the best we have stayed in with the large space and nice landscape. The cost for staying here is very reasonable for such a nice campground.|
A great place to relax!! We plan on visiting every year.
