MessageCarbonear looks beautiful. I'm so happy to find this picture. My gr grandfather, Jeremiah Sweeney was born in Carbonear in 1869 and I know nothing about it except his birthdate and place of birth. It is so wonderful to see a picture of his "home". If there are any Sweeneys out there who would like to "talk", I would love that. God bless all, Debbie

MessageWhat a beautiful place you all live in..a big thankyou to Sam Slade and townfolk for making two boys living in "Norn Iron",who visited Carbonear and surroundings last summer, with their Nanny Ann-Marie D,so memorable. smilie Such great facilities and family-friendly environment. The boys never stopped talking about Carbonear Island, the boat trip round the Bay,Harbour Grace, the brook by Pike's Lane, trips to the beach and ball field..but most of all the "new found" family and friends who shared their summer..My only regret was not getting over to meet you all.Somebody had to mind the cats and dogs! smilie
mind you there's always next summer.. smilie smilie
Belated Happy Birthday to Gran Jean@Pike's Lane and Debbie at Gladstone..miss you all..Happy Hallowe'en everyone.. smilie smilie
