| Message | Hello from an old fart from the 1947 intake. I met Eric Gill at the door as it were. He and I were shown round the school by Roy Hattersley. I was in 1p,2P,3P, There was a then newly introduced system of science or arts. I was in the science stream in term 4. I left CGS to join the Royal Navy in 1951 at the end of school year.Thus I left Sheffield only to return on leave. Cheers |

| Message | Loved to see old photos of my former classmates. I attended a 25 year school reunion in 1996. Had a great time even though I travelled half way across the world. I moved to Sydney Australia in 1970 when I was in 6L and completed my school days there before going on to get a Bachelor's Degree at Sydney University. |
