MessageFor anyone who is looking at this site and not yet visited The Bluebell I can only say this is the best pub for miles and miles.

Once you've been once, you'll be hooked by the fabulous range of beers and extremely welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Highly Recommended!

Thank you Dave and Kay for all you do.

What do you think about our non-smoking policy? So good, every public establishment should do it.
MessageTo Dunc and his Orderlies. In defeat remember what Nelson would say - "Hahh Hahh!!" smilie

To others - We think it’s an excellent idea to welcome dog owners, particularly those who use the pub week in, week out, come rain or shine. It gives the walk a sense of purpose and takes the mind off having to carry a bag of faeces.

So don’t Hound these people, after all, the pub doesn’t serve Chow. If you don’t like dogs, have a Peek inside before you go in but be careful when it's raining. Last week I nearly stepped into a Poodle

MessagePopped in again last week for the first time in awhile. That smelly dog was in there again, right against the bar, with it's owner (who also was a bit smelly) ignoring the plight of many a-customer trying to get to the bar.

Maybe after implementing a no-smoking policy, a no-dogs policy should also come into force?

Messagemy granfather sandy taylor back in the 1930's would have been a regular customer at the blue bell, having helped to build the bowling green at the back of the pub. I hold a picture of him and my grandmother enjoying a drink there about that time.
When i visited july 06,it was good to sit in a real ale pub, not covered in smoke, no distracting jukebox or fruit machines, enjoying a drink of real beer, with pleasant surrondings and people, many thanks. smilie
