MessageI grew up in Bury St Edmunds
it has been fun to take a look at some of the views of Bury. I live in Louisiana now,I have lived in the usa for 8 years & havent had the chance to go back. so it was fun to be able to see some old familiar places. Great photos keep it up.

MessageJust wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog. Really captures the whole spirit of the place, with the overheard comments etc. Haven't lived in Bury for 12 years now, but have never felt "homesick" till I read your blog!
Thanks again.

MessageI love reading Ruby's blog - what a wonderful writer she is and it's so nice to hear about Bury and see the photos. It's changed so much since I lived there in the 1970's. Does anyone remember Purdy's. When I was a teenager working at Boot's we went there every Saturday for lunch. Also, there was a little pub (not the Nutshell) on one of the streets behind Purdy's that we always went in - I can't remember the name. It was so packed on weekend nights you couldn't step in the door. We also loved the Rugby Club disco's they used to put on !! I miss it !! What a great town... If anyone went to the Silver Jubilee School for girls about the time it merged with King Edward VI Upper School I was there then !!
