MessageHi Ruby,

Just wanted to say that I found your blog by accident and I am thrilled!
I only left Bury in Nov 06 having married a US GI who I met while he was stationed at Mildenhall, and now we are stationed in Turkey until the end of this year.
After having spent all 32 of my years in Bury, you cannot help but love the place, I miss it so bad.
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to indulge in my home while I am so far away from it!
I will be back for sure someday!

All my love to all Bury-ites!!

Katy xxx smilie

MessageWhat a wonderful expeience reading through your page. I was born in Sapiston, lived in Thetford and then Bury. My parents lived at the Coach and Horses, which was a Wells & Winch pub on Honey Hill. I attended the Guildhall Feoffment School and then the Silver Jubilee. I worked at the Victoria Laundry, LD Faires wine merchant and then Greene King as did most of my family at some time or another in their life. My daughter has actually built a pub in Washington State called the Greene King. It is a private pub for friends and family but very authentic.
I have to say that you have done a wonderful job of awakening a lot of wonderful memories. I have lived in a lot of different places but the people of Bury are still the best
