Wow! Such lovely pix. Say, I'm from the USA, and I am wondering what you can tell about about a town or village called Slough. I get about two visitors a day to my site (www.movieEVERYday.com) from Slough. Are there are lot of English people who love to read about the movies in Slough? What county is it in? Do you have any photos or know of good sites about this town? It has really gotten my curious. Anyway, I enjoyed your site very much! Thanks for letting me explore. Actually, it has been intriguing to learn the names of many towns in England...there are certainly some interesting ones. smilie

Sincerely, and thank you for your help!

Scooter

MessageHi there,
Great site, makes me really homesick. Left Bury in 1977 to emigrate to Toronto, Canada. Miss a lot of things, especially market days.....

MessageHallo Ruby,
I used to live in Honnington from 1981 till 1985.
I am german and my Husband was in the RAF.
My first child was born in Bury and when I saw
your blog and all the pictures of Bury, I felt
deeply touched by them. When I first came to
England everything seemed so different, but in a strange way also very familiar.Never again did
I feel so much at home as in Honnington and it´s
suroundings! And now , trough your eyes I am able
to see it all again.Thank you very much.Brigitta

MessageI love your blog - I lived in Bury from age 8 to 18 and my parents still live there. It's great to read about it and see the pictures. I wasn't that bothered about Bury until I left it, then I realised what a good place it is. And it is pretty too! I'm happy where I am now, but I do miss the feel of Bury. Hope you find happiness there.

MessageLike your photographs of everyday things. I'm an anglophile who may never make it across the pond, but bless God everyday for technology and people kind enough to use it.
