MessageI lived in Bury St Edmunds a long time ago while stationed at RAF Lakenheath. I lived on Boby Road in the Howard Estate... I stumbled across your lovely blog today and have put a shortcut to it on my desktop so I can visit often. I always dream of returning to BSE and living over the shops or something. Thanks for a great afternon of surfing your blog.

MessageGreat site! I've lived in Bury St. Edmunds for most of my life. I particularly enjoyed your piece on the Rehearsal Rooms, as me and my band practice there regularly.

MessageHello,
I've found your blog cause it had fenner builders in it smilie . I was googling for it, cause I'm in search of an trainee post for my internship. Ive got three companies in Bury that might be something: Bloor Homes, Fenner Builders and The Whitworth Co. Partnership WCP.
Anyway, I take it you haven't left your hometown yet? Well I have, and it kind of sucks, cause now I have to bike far to the nearest city, Enschede. And I don't really feel at home in my new town. But then again, it might be time for me to get my own place(Im still with my parents).

Greetings from Holland!

MessageSimilar experiences at my supermarket check-outs.... eye contact is a challenge indeed ! Same in lifts.... everybody watches the floor numbers change and nobody talks.
I like Bury St.Edmunds alot - often visit on my way to see family in Ipswich... and Waitrose is one of the best supermarkets in the UK I think. Pity there are none in the north ! Keep on blogging - it's fascinating reading.
All the best, Helen.
