MessageYour December newsletter radiated warmth and love. I could smell the chicken pie cooking! I must relate a story to you about my mother and writing in December. My older sister, Betty, who was a Mission teacher in India, was born on Christmas Day. She died in a plane crash in India at the age of 26. Naturally ,writing Christmas letters ,for Mother, was difficult after that. She, however, sequestered herself and after reading the Christmas story in Luke would write beautiful individual letters to hundreds of people she corresponded with. She would tell me of many occasions as she was writing that she could hear the angels singing their glad tidings in heaven. Love, Dodie

MessageHi Debbie:
I really enjoyed your pictures and sharing your tradition's.
When the kids were little we bought a box of whitman's samplers and put on Xmas music- the ole ones Dean Martin and Bing Crosby and together we would decorate the tree and the house.Since I'm a lot older than you, my family watched the old movies, White Christmas, It's A Wonderful Life and The Gathering, parts one and two.
But, we all had to wait until deer season was thru, before any decorations went up.
Now, Spencer comes over and helps me decorate the tree in the sunroom and we get dressed up in hunting gear and play pretend deer hunting. He reminds a few days ahead that we need to do that 'T' thing. T for tradition.
Memories are so precious.
May you and your family have a very blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Julie-Anne
