| Message | I am doing a build up of my 51 fleetline. i want to make a street rod out of it with either a big block chevy or small block chevy v8. with the horse power that i want to put in it i dont trust the orig chassis of the 51 or any structural supports that would be added to it. so i want to use a late 70's early 80's chassis with ps and disc brakes with the motor mounts for a small block chevy already in place. THe problem is i can not find any literature on the chasis specs of the car and dont know how wide it is and wheel base and what car can i swap the chassis with. im thinking like a cutlass or regal will work because i think a bigger buick or monte carlo or elcamino is going to be to long and wide.
