| Message | Robie cheers for that info. SAMA 82 is the main organiser for the 25th Falklands Anniversary activities. The main event dates are 14/17 June 2007 in London, ending with a families gathering on Horse Guards Parade. This is after a veterans march past at the Cenotaph and down the Mall, on the Sunday. Further information can be found on the SAMA 82 wedsite, we have an excellent contact in Denzil Connick at SAMA. Who will keep you upto date. The 3 Para Reunion for 2007, we hope to return as discussed at the AGM Late June or early July 2007, to Colchester, this we are trying to organise at the moment. More Information will be available and a newletter will be out early in the new year. | Message | Browsing for a big of nostalgia, great site. Good to see names, faces and outstanding hair cuts. Info for anyone on what is planned but not confirmed for Falklands 25th Anniversary in Colchester. 2 & 3 PARA will be involved with the Colchester Military festival. This year's theme is the 25th Falklands Anniversary 25th. Abbey fields will be laid out with a large section dedicate to 16 Air Assault Bde units and equipment. 25,000 + last year. Similar to the old days, but less fighting. Starts about 10am to 6pm. Both battalions and airborne units will have dedicated beer tents and military stands etc. The centre area will have numerous displays which will include Para band, PRA/Bn March on and probably Reenactments of 2/3 PARA battles! Don't hold me to it but I suspect the all Messes will be open in the evening to welcome veterans etc. 2 PARA's plan is to do this, so I suspect 3 PARA will do the same. The idea is not to detract from the National events at Pangborne on Thu and Horse Gurads on Sunday 17th. Robie |
