MessageAIRBORNE FORCES DAY SOUTH 7TH / 8TH JULY 07. Now a two day event in conjunction with Veterans Day 2007.

A Parade of Veterans and Standard Bearers will take place at 1400 (TTBC). The Parachute Regiment Associations have invited all Falkland Veterans and the SAMA Standard Bearer to form the No. 1 Platoon to honour us for the 25th Anniversary of the conflict. This an all day event with Arena displays and Parachute drops throught the day culminating in a Drop by the Red Devils. This event is always attended by hundreds of ex Airborne Forces. The Pegasus Bar does a roaring trade throught the day. Please put this date in your diaries and make every effort to attend and lets have a good turn out of Falkland Veterans. It is a family day out, so bring along your children and grandchildren, other family and friends, to watch you proudly march behind your Standard.

MessageSir, (Please advertise)

We are the Central Branch Scotland of the Parachute Regimental Association.

On Saturday and Sunday the 28th and 29th July 2007, as part of the Glasgow Show we are combining an Airborne Forces Day (Scotland) with a 60th Anniversary of the raising of 15th Parachute (Scottish Vol) Bn, the Parachute Regiment.

Last years Glasgow Show can be seen at (google search) In Glasgow Photo Gallery (Events 2006). 60-70 thousand attend this event each day. There are a number of Zone areas and we will have our own, which will open early Sat morning till about 17:00. Timings are the same for the Sunday approximately. The Parachute Regimental Assets like the Red Devils, Band, Tower etc if available will be in attendance both days.

There will be a function on the Saturday night in a hotel in Glasgow and a Church Service will be held on the Sunday Morning in Glasgow Cathedral. This will be followed by a parade to Glasgow Green.

An invitation is therefore extended to those who served in the Parachute Regiment or Airborne Forces and 15th Scottish Bn, (SV) PARA, including 15 Company IV PARA.
Please note that anyone wishing to apply for an application form for these events must contact me at the following:

MessageTo all our members who served down south in 1982, it is with regret that it has now been confirmed that Terry Peck MBE has sadly passed away after a long illness on 30 Decemeber 2006. Our condolence to Ellie Terry's wife and the family our thoughts are with them all at this sad time. Terry met up with the Battalion just after we landed at Port San Carlos and acted as a guide for the Battalion during the conflict. A Brave, Brave man. He was a credit to the Islands police force which he was a member and a credit to our own Battalion. I was proud to meet him and stand along side him at the Falklands Islands Liberation parade when I visited the Island in June 2005.

God Bless you Terry

from all member 3 Para Reunion Club
