| Message | MICK WILLETTS GRAVE Gents, just for the information of any ex members of 3 PARA Sigs Pl circa 1971,you may be interested in an item that has appeared on 2 PARA Reunion site under their Gravewatch posts:-Action taken by serving and ex members of the Regiment to restore graves which are found to be in disrepair belonging to former comrades who were KIA. Mick Willets was a Sigs Pl Sgt who was KIA at Springfield rd Police Station in 1971 during 3 PARA'S first operational tour of Northern Ireland. His conduct during the circumstances surrounding his death led to him being awarded a posthumous George Cross. Recentley his grave and a memorial bench that was donated was found to be in a very neglected and delapidated state. I understand that some members of Newark PRA and serving soldiers then took some remedial action to get it cleaned up and restored to an acceptable condition. Can i pass my thanks on to whoever was responsible for organising this and i'm sure the same goes from all ex members of the Sigs Pl who served during this period and remember Mick. Regards to all and a merry crimble, Paul O'Connell |

| Message | Bob Jarrett, Bob, have just seen your posting. I guess I should remember such a name as Howard's but I'm afraid I don't, however that could just be the old grey cells. 'Mac' McTavish I do - he took over the Arms Store from me when I left and I still have some photos of him, myself and 'Dimmo' Dimmock in Borneo. I'm not up on 'Facebook' haven't a clue on these matters really so would appreciate it if you pass on my best regards. Have heard from 'Dunc' Duncan and Chalky White (216 Signals,Borneo) so far - any other ex D Coy members '62 - '66 out there? Met up recently with 'Tug' Wilson ex A Coy CSM and joined local branch to meet up with Mike Davies (D Coy's pay sergeant Borneo) and one of the 9 Squadron guy's who taught me diving in Hamala - Small World eh? Regards to all ex D Coy's Sparra Wilson Contact me at: tugandsue2@talktalk.net |

| Message | Noah Stephenson ex 3 Para - Can anyone help I am in contact with the Widow of Noah Stephenson. Susan Stephenson is looking for some photos of Noah, she has a 5 year old Daughter (Lottie) and wants to have some memories for them both. From what Susan knows Noah appears to have joined at 16 and could have been in JPC, he joined 3 Para (B Coy) in 1994 and transferred to the Freds in 1999. In 2003 he took part in IRAQ 2 and left the Army in 2006. After leaving he joined ERINYS? to do BG work – sadly, on 19 October 2006, Noah died from a roadside IED. I would have thought that some will know Noah and can help. Please could you contact me with any pictures that you may have so that I can pass them on. Thank you in advance for your help.
