| Message | To those that don't know Frankie Clark ex B Coy was seriously injured in an assault at the weekend, & is currently in a very serious condition in Frimley Park Hospital. I don't have full details, but I'm sure evryone's thoughts & prayers are with June who is with him. |

| Message | Hi Brothers. I was in 1 Para in the 80s, 471 plt depot. Trying to find Cpl Nick Butler when last I was told is or was CSM . Was in 3 para in depot. He was my Cpl in depot and would love to get in contact with him if possible. I have a lot of respect for him likewise Cpl Bull, Elvis, Calahann, The great Sgt Ian Mckay was our Sgt. | Message | Hello all, I have been liaising with the battalion RSM regarding the next reunion (remember - Saturday 20 March) and he has now confirmed that he has arranged the use of the transit accomodation that was mentioned in an earlier post, for those attending unaccompanied. He also confirmed that the Sergeant's Mess is available for whatever type of function we want and the prices he can arrange for the meal are very reasonable. However numbers will be limited to an extent, so it will be "first come...." Something to note is that The El Gamil Reunion Club will be using the Mess on the Friday evening so it will not be available for use by us. There will be a committee meeting next month and then details will be posted here and booking proformas sent out etc in due course. Regards to all Terry Carroll Chairman |

| Message | I attended the Memorial Service for Warrenpoint at Palace Barracks on Monday. It was a pleasure to stand with so many 2 Para comrades of that era, supported by many from 1 & 3 Para now living in NI & beyond. A sombre but magnificent occasion, & so evident that events such as this will never be forgotten. Speaking to serving members of 2 Para present, the spirit they have, matches anything that has gone before. Needless to say the aftermatch activities were excellent, special thanks to Russ Bishop, made it to work on Tuesday Russ, wonder I made the service on Monday after passing the BFT on Sunday night. (Belly, Full, Tennents), ably washed down by Russ's champagne. JR |

| Message | As we all prepare to attend washed out BBQs this Bank Holiday weekend let us all remember that tomorrow (29th August) sees the 30th anniversary of the Warrenpoint tragedy inflicted on our Sister Battalion, 2 Para, where several members of that famous Battalion lost their lives and more were injured and maimed following two massive explosions.
