MessageI thought you might all be interested - further to Nobby Clarke's post here is an extract from the Army News:

PARAS RETAIN ARMY NOVICE BOXING BELT

Soldiers from 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment have retained their Army Boxing belt.
Last night, Thursday 15 April, 3 PARA beat 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment 6-3 in the final of the Army Major Units Novice Boxing Championship held at Aldershot.
It is the firth time in ten years that 3 PARA, based at Merville Barracks, Colchester, has won the title and the only years it has not won were when the unit did not enter the competition due to operational deployments.
Major Matt Cansdale is the Officer in Command of the 3 PARA boxing team. Maj Cansdale said: “We are delighted to have retained the title. 2 R ANGLIAN were very fit and very determined but on the day we managed to overcome them.”
In front of a passionate and vocal full house of around 700 spectators, 3 PARA secured the win with two bouts still to fight. At the interval, the contest was all square at 2-2 but 3 PARA then won the next three bouts.
Maj Cansdale said: “There was a vociferous crowd on both sides and it really made the occasion as the atmosphere was electric, it was fantastic.”
WELL DONE THE BATT!

MessageDoes anyone else think that it might be a good idea at future reunions to take a group photograph of all those that attend. I know it would have its problems ie getting everyone away from the bar and full frontals of a lot of baldies but perhaps it would help to recognise people at future reunions. Just a thought.
