MessageAs many of you are probably aware the battalion is currently starting to deploy on their third tour in Afghanistan.
I have written to the CO and RSM inviting them to the Reunion in March but in all likelihood the battalion will not have returned. Hopefully a representative will be able to attend on their behalf,as happened when they were on their last tour.
I also, of course,on behalf of all members of the Club wished both them and the soldiers God speed, our wishes for a successful and safe tour and that our thoughts will be with them.

I'm very sorry to inform everybody that Dave Burns (ex A, C & D Coy 3 Para and ex 9 Sqn) died in the Royal Cornish Hospital, Truro early this morning of a suspected heart attack.

I have contact details for his wife if anyone needs them and will post the funeral details once they are known.

Rest in Peace Dave.

MessageThe Service Personal and Veterans Agency has been set up by the government to sort out the problems with suffering servicepersons. This is after the European Courts ruled that the MOD was as liable as the coal miners and the Asbestosis sufferers from work related problems.

The MOD has resorted to removing information from service personal records to stop paying out compensation, which is about as criminal as concentration camps in the second world war.

Can we use this site to gain justice for the wounded, rather than waffling about the living??
