| Message | I went to the hotel last week to talk through and confirm the Reunion arrangements. There is a completely new staff who have a much more 'businesslike' approach than 2 years ago. I don't know how this will affect things. I will check up with 1 & 2 Para after their reunions this month. I negotiated Happy Hours @ £1.50 a pint/shot etc from 14-1600 on the Friday and 1300-1630 on the Saturday.The AGM on the Saturday will be at 1700 and the sherry reception at 1900 with the dinner at 2000. Drinks in the evening will be £2.00. There are 2 problems: 1. Access to hotel - the promenade is undergoing renovation for much of it's length and this means there are many roads blocked off and a one-way system in operation S to N. Real nuisance! 2. Parking - reminder - as most of you know the hotel has limited parking and the work on the promenade doesn't help. It will be 'first come...'!The nearest public car park is in West Street (within easy walking distance) and many will have to use this. Regards to all Terry Carroll Chairman. |
