Message Hey Chris
Just doing some surfing when should be working and found your site. Blimey what a weird time and how long ago it all was. Club Left - what a lark. Do you live in London? I'm in Camden with my husband and daughter (she's 9), working as Lecturer in Academic Support at Conservatoire for Dance and Drama, been here ten years now. Would love to hear from you and catch up. Got to go and pick Grace up now but hope you email me.
With love
Tig xxx

Message Can someone else confirm that JoBoxers played the Sweaterwaters South Concert in Christchurch New Zealand in the early 80's? My memory is pretty fuzzy on this one. I seem to recall they were up just before The Pretenders and some other band who headlined but who are best forgotten...

Message You guys were great!..."Just Got Lucky" is one of the best songs ever!...And a damn good video too...That video really captured the energy of the song...I just got into YouTube lately and rediscovered the magic of JoBoxers...I played you on the radio back in the 80's...Now it's great to hear you again...I still sing along and jump around when i play the video for "Just Got Lucky"...Just like I did the first time I heard it...Best of luck to all of you...You made some great music that still is vital and relevant today...You have alot to be proud of.

Message Great to hear about you trying to getting the 3rd album out there. Keep this great music out there for us... a tour couldn't hurt either. Most important is keep us updated.

Message I remember the first time I heard Boxerbeat, as a spotty 14 yr old. It absolutely blew me away. Listened to it again via the Rhythm Sisters on Myspace and it did the same. Gonna have to go to my mothers and dig out my old vinyl, I remember I bought the album and all the singles and loved everything. Happy days, shame they were so short lived!

Message oh my God...l was playing around on the computer and was wondering what Dig Wayne was up to and l came across joboxers...oh the wonderful 80's...don't bring them back!
The guys were cute then and funny enough still cute..keep it up people.

Dig,when you read this please get in touch,l was with your show when you did 'five guys'in london...cute black girl(usherette),we went for some food after one of the shows only once, you walked me to the bus stop and you kissed me on my cheek, you were such a gentleman and l never saw you again,l know you are happily married..l respect that. Please e-mail me when you can just to say hey girl!

The eighties man...oh my God..its so funny seeing the outfits...the braces, the hats...the baggy pants and dungerees,wow...they don't make boy bands like that anymore...

Message Have been a HUGE fan of this band since I first ssaw the "Just Got Lucky" vid in highschool.. Bought the vinyl album (import!) and played it until it was beyond repair. Found another copy on eBay years later(God Bless eBay!), and then another, and then FINALLY got a CD- JOY! The music holds up today as well (if not better) than it did 20 years ago. God bless 'em. And THANKS for putting this site together! Great music, lyrics, and videos. Only regret is that JoBoxers never came to play Corvallis, OR in the 80's- I would've been front row!

Message Oh my God! There was a time when I used to get drunk with these guys. We used to go down the Dirt Box, the Mud Club and the Wag. I often wonder how they all are now. Chris was very shy but really funny too. I havent seen the guys since the mid 80's, when me and my mate Claire thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. I went to see Five Guys Named Mo, which Dig was in, but his part was played by someone else. I am so proud that I knew the boxers and when someone says 'curious george' I think of them and not Jack Johnson!!!!! Coz they were doing to boxerbeat!

Message Slip Mahoney, that's a name I've not heard in a long time but yes that's one of the things I used to be called.
