| Message | >>OBITUARY: Today, 18January2008, i received a text message from BonJo Bonifacio breaking a sad news about the passing away of our dear batchmate Clem Umali who is based and who resides in Cerritos, CA, USA. He was said to be suffering from Cancer, but i just learned about it just recently (days ago) in a meeting with another balikbayan batchmate Doc Manny Espinosa, who is also based in Michigan, USA. Clem attended the USTEHS February 2008 Grand Reunion and i never noticed he was ill. He was so energetic and lively. In fact, he led a line dance at the floor during our Gala night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas. He did some ballroom dancing with SusanD and to some other girls around during the night. He joined our pre reunion gtg's for several nights at the One Roman Suites (courtesy of Errol) in Makati and he was looking good. Well, Clem is gone as of this writing. He will always be remembered and be kept in memory here in my heart. He really shared a part of his life with us, and he tried to spend some of his life's later moments with us by coming home from the US. I just hope and pray that God has a special resting place for Clem, in Heaven. May he rest in Eternal Peace with the Lord. Goodbye Clem (my kamaganak, as you call me)... you will be missed by your comradz (B71).  My family and i deeply sympathize with the bereaved family, joining them in prayers. Our condolences that their grieving hearts may feel lightened on this great loss of a loved-one. Let us pray.<< |
