| Message | Chris & Julie, My wife & I have a LID of June 10, 2005. I've found myself wandering the message boards, blogs, groups, etc. trying to keep my hope going. My wife, Stephanie, is pretty much ignoring all of the above things and just staying busy. The waiting is becoming just so unbearable although I know we're "close". Whatever that means  . | Message | I enjoy reading your updates. We are June 7 LID and I am trying so hard not to get overly anxious this month or to get caught up in one of the rumor blogs. Your postitive way of looking at this (upward to the One that is in control) made me want to sign your guestbook. I have not set up a blog and was just told about the Chinese Adoption Stories link at the end of March. I'm sort of glad that I didn't find it until then, especially the 'rumor mill' blog. I have not yet shared our adoption story over the internet with the exception of family and friends. It is one that I hope other parents never have to deal with. We lost both of our teenage sons in a car accident on March 29, 2002. We never thought that we could adopt--taking the chance that we could lose again seemed to hard. But God put it on our hearts about 2 1/2 years after the accident that we didn't get to finish being parents. We knew that we had lots of love to give and God continues to heal us and give us strength that can only be from Him. I claim 1 Peter 5:10 (And the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.) His promises are so real in my and my husband's lives. So here we are...waiting for our daughter that we have named Hope. May God bless you as He takes you to Emma. |

This is our second adoption, our first daughter 7 yrs ago from the Marshall Islands (took 2 1/2 to complete). This time it feels like an eternity!
