MessageHello Nick,

I am sorry if the blog comes over as portraying a negative image of the US. i must say that I have never ahd an easy relationship with the US, but on the other hand I have enjoyed some wonderful times in the countryside. We had a holiday in New England, along the coast and I have been many times to the area above teh Golden Gate Bridge in Marin and Mendocino counties. Both very beautiful

Maybe I just go to the US for work now, where I visit Atlanta and where the only things we have done are visit te office and the malls, even eating in restaurants in the malls... so this colours my view a little bit.

Anyway, greetings from Amsterdam,

Charles

MessageHi Brian,

I think we could very well be related. I need to check where it is but there is a Merna website and through this I traced my links to Mernaghs who went to America. It is on MyFamily.com, which I need to visit again soon. It was just over two years ago that I met the Mernaghs in Coolamurry.

Greetings from Amsterdam,

Charles

MessageI enjoyed reading about your Mernagh family. Perhaps we share common ancestors. I am a descendant of James Mernagh born between 1847 and 1850 of Wexford. He died in Chicago in 1927. Was in among your family in Ireland? Brian - Floyds Knobs, Indiana, USA

MessageHello guys! I just saw your beautiful photos of Sardinia. I am a content manager for an upcoming site called MySardinia.com. I have enjoyed your posts so much that I was wondering if I can entice you to contribute an essay of your travel experience to Sardinia.

MySardinia.com will be something of a travel blog with personal stories of people who have gone there. Not a lot of people go to Sardinia and with your meaningful essay, it would help turn people's attention to this harshly beautiful place.

Here are some questions to guide you along. You can even answer these as a start. Or you can ignore these all together and create your own essay.

1. What led you to go to Sardinia ?
2. Were you able to sample the food? How was it? Can you relate more experience about your dining there?
3. For you, how different is Sardinia from Mainland Italy ?
4. Any curious or funny thing that you notice (or have happened to you) during your stay?
5. What struck you about Sardinia? Please mention the good and the bad.
6. If you want to recommend a friend to visit Sardinia , what feature/s would you tell him/her to make him/her go?

(you can add more questions if you like)

Of course, you will be credited as author/s of your post, which may include your text and your photos. I am also willing to link your post to your amazing blog.

I hope we can correspond further soon. I would like to know what you guys think.

MessageLove your blog but from what i read i notice you have a very bad view of the us. Why would you stereotype a county that is so big and different in each of its regions. The US is 237 time bigger than your country but you make it seem as if the whole country is nothing more than strip malls and billboards. I Find the US to be a great place to visit and hope you would visit more and see what so many others in the world loves of the US.
