I have heard stories about how the church properties are being sold....also how the pastors including the school principals go away on locum assignments to foreign countries so that they get lucrative deals.Nothing wrong with the second bit but isnt money getting in a big way. God bless |

| Message | Hello, My name is Ms.Rebecca Thomas from Mumbai . I am a great worshipper of St.John the Baptist Church, Thane But one thing disappoint me an incident I am a protestant One fine day my father had attended a english mass in the church When he got up for the communion and reached towards the person who gives the communion my father was told by that person that st.john church does not give communion to protestants. I am suprised as many people of different caste attend the mass and my father is a christian then why he did not get the offering Today it realised me that even being christian there is division of caste like catholic church should have catholics only This hurted me but then to i pray for that person who did not offer communion to my father bless him Please look into this matter as there are many people who might be coming with true faith but are not offered the communion by such kind of people. | Message | I was very pleasantly surprised to read in the parish website, all that the parish is doing, and also the involvement of so many parish members. I wish my present parish, here in the USA, would take some lessons from St. Johns. It is really amazing that a parish of that size, and with whatever limited resources, reaches out to the community the way St. Johns' does. Hats off to all the clergy, and especially the lay people who volunteer so cheerfully and keep the wheels of the parish so well oiled. I am proud of St. John the Baptist Church! |
