| Message | (Hey! A bonus story for all the guest book readers.) DIP By M. LOUIS DIXON Fifteen feet from the pools edge, Jason felt his stomach cramp. It had been, at least, an hour and a half since he'd eaten lunch so he should be fine. He wasn't. His wife was on the phone and watching a soap opera on the portable TV he'd bought last weekend. He tried to call out to her and vomited into the water instead. The food particles spread out in a sickly cloud. The taste of bile and stomach acids burned his mouth. He tried to gasp in a breath but choked on a flood of chlorinated pool water. He retched as his stomach clenched once again, and he sank beneath the surface. Fuck, he thought then breathed in a lungful of water. It burned more than his vomit had a moment before. THE END |
