MessageHello Jed

I am glad you like the recipes! When I first started this blog, my writing was very poor, match by cooking skills of the same level. Everything got published into infinity with warts and all! So, I turned off RSS. Besides, the early "customers" to this restaurant came from non-food blogs, which thankfully did not leave links to inappropriate websites. Now, I found all these lovely food bloggers sharing, caring and exchanging ideas. Thanks for visiting and Merry Christmas to you. smilie

MessageI really enjoy the recipes on your blog, and I was wondering if you had a RSS link. It would make it a lot easier for me to make sure I never missed a post!

MessageHi Simon, your survey sounds really interesting. This is a really small blog with even smaller readership and wouldn't really represent the typical blog to include in your survey. Thanks for your interest.

MessageMy name is Simon Owens and I'm a blogger for http://bloggasm.com. Every week I do a new statistical study that usually aims to map some realm of the blogosphere, and this week's case study seeks to measure the diversity of niche bloggers. I would very much appreciate if you'd answer 4 quick survey questions about you and your blog to help me in my results:

1. What niche does your blog fall into (Examples: Political, gadget, movie, etc...If more than one, please list)?

2. What are the genders of all the bloggers who write for your site?

3. What are the races for all the bloggers who write for your site (if there are any that you're not sure about, just indicate that you don't know)?

4. This last question is optional to answer. Please indicate whether or not it's fine for me to quote you for this question: What do you think of the diversity of the blogosphere, both in your niche and as a whole?

I truly hope that you decide to participate in this survey. The more bloggers who participate, the more accurate my results are. There has been a lot of debate about the diversity of bloggers, yet nobody has actually tried to measure the diversity, so I want to give them a study from which to work while they debate.

Thank you for your time,
Simon Owens

MessageHi,

Owen is still swamped and doesn't have time to do the Paper Chef, so I've agreed to manage it for a while.

Since you won the last event, I'm hoping I can persuade you to judge this one. I'll have a post up shortly, but the gist is Paper Chef will occur this weekend with submissions ending Monday night.

I know this is short notice, but it's become traditional for the last winner to judge the current contest. What say you?

Kevin
