MessageThanks for making this stuff available! I just started learning animation and it's super intimidating but storyboard and x-sheet templates help a ton! Thanks again!

MessageThe Model Sheets are fascinating. I had a little bit of trouble reading some of the notes on them though. I stumbled across AnimationMeat while looking for tips on how to convey emotion in a simple ball character through just the use of animation techniques. While I didn't find quite what I was looking for I am glad I discovered this site.

MessageHey Butcher, I just read your post from 1999 on animation cels as related to Comic-Con. I have cleaned out my mom and dad's house here in San Diego and have come across these cels from the Flintstones and Magilla Gorilla that were given to my brother and sisters and me when we were just wee kids. My dad was a Navy man here (whose dad wasn't?) and used to bring sailors home for a homecooked dinner. One time he brought someone that sticks in my mind was the son of either Hanna or Barbera, and some other sailor friends of his. The next time he came to dinner he brought us these cels. I can't remember his name but how odd I remember his friend was named Stu. This was at least 40 years ago (yeah I'm THAT OLD) and I'm trying to figure out a way to find out about these cels, but judging by your post I guess Comic-Con is not it. Though I do have tix for Friday this year! Any suggestions on how to research these 4 cels? The man (probably really only a boy but I was YOOOOUUUNNNGGG and he seemed like a grownup then) signed them with sayings like "Best Wishes, Fred Flintstone". I'd appreciate any suggestions! R, Mary Gill
